Hello and welcome to RationAles, your friendly, neighborhood restaurant and local craft beer destination on Main Street in Williamsville. After a grueling remodel of a very old building… we are finally here! We’ve added on a new kitchen space, updated the inside and out, and created what we think will be the coolest two-story patio space to boot. Did we mention that we started this project way back in 2020?  It’s been a long wait, especially if you’ve been following us along the way.

While there are plenty of great food and beverage options in the area, we’ve incorporated two unique offerings at RationAles which we think will set us apart…

Last things first, let’s talk --Ales!  As veterans of the Buffalo craft beer scene (and the community), we felt focusing primarily on local craft beer was the way to go. Come on, nobody loves their city more than Buffalonians love Buffalo! Western New York has a rich brewing history and some pretty darn good liquid – at RationAles we hope to take you on a tour of our local breweries without ever having to leave your bar stool.

First things second, let’s address—The Rations.  With so many places providing you stellar pub fare, we saw an opportunity to pair great beers with a different culinary experience.  Tell me, how do you feel about hot sandwiches loaded with fresh cooked meats? The menu includes an assortment of house-made soups and fresh salads, in addition to shareable plates for when you’re hanging out on that patio.  Can’t stay?   Let us be your on-the-go lunch option with easy online ordering, multiple delivery options, and eco-conscious packaging.  Having a party or a business lunch gathering? We also offer catering!!

Now that you know where we’re coming from, what is it that you can expect from us?  One owner would relate it to an “Elevated Experience” or a “Concierge Service.”  Another might call it reminiscent to “The Blue Tusk” in Syracuse, it’s place in NYS Craft Beer history, and their desire to bring that concept to Buffalo. Yet another would talk about making sure we’re focusing on “giving the locals what they really want.” Our final owner, well, even we can’t even read their mind!!!

Nice to meet you Williamsville.
Hope you’re ready for this journey with us!!!
